ALPHA DELTA PI LOVES THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE  

Throughout the year, we give back to the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville, SC by visiting multiple times a month. We have sisters volunteer to make dinner and cookies for the families who are staying there. Sisters can also save their can tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.

There are many philanthropy events that we put on and have put on in the past to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Some of these events include the Pi Spike Beach Volleyball Tournament and JLF Memorial Golf Tournament. These events raise thousands of dollars for the Ronald McDonald House each year. Because of our support over the years, the Greenville Ronald McDonald House has been able to expand and renovate their facility.

This is important to our chapter because the Ronald McDonald House Charities is where many families spend several weeks or months to get treatment in the Greenville Health System for their seriously ill or injured Children. A Ronald McDonald House is a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by to their hospitalized child at little or no cost. Sisters of Alpha Delta Pi cook meals for families  staying at the Ronald McDonald house, but in order to support their needs we also try to provide some financial support in the form of donating money that we raise on their behalf.
