Hey PNMs! Why ADPi #3!

✰Canton Moehler’s Spotlight + Why ADPi!✰

“The girls of ADPi were so kind and genuine, and I felt so loved and accepted by people I had just met. Each girl made me feel like I was being seen and heard, and each one was so passionate about every part of ADPi- I definitely knew this was the chapter for me!”

Canton Moehler- Alpha Class ‘20

“Hello PNMs! My name is Canton Moehler and I cannot wait for recruitment & the chance to meet all of you! I am a junior psychology major with a minor in communications and a HUGE fan of Tri County YoungLife, Clemson Football, Baseball, and ADPi of course! When registering for recruitment, I did not know of anyone else going through the recruitment process, or in my freshman class! Safe to say I was very nervous, but also so excited to meet the girls that were going to be my forever sisters! Going into the second round of recruitment, I felt very intimidated, but just kept telling myself to keep an open mind about each sorority. I knew all the girls I would be talking to had also felt the same way I did at one time. I ended up finding the perfect home for me come bid day and I know all you will too! The girls I had been so lucky to meet during recruitment are nothing short of incredible, they are always pushing me to do my very best in everything I do. During rounds, I always looked forward to talking to ADPi. I loved hearing more and more about the many different aspects that make ADPi the amazing sorority that it is, and some of the girls I met are my closest friends today! I always connected so easily with each person I interacted with, and felt like I could relax and fully be myself. The girls of ADPi were so kind and genuine, and I felt so loved and accepted by people I had just met. Each girl made me feel like I was being seen and heard, and each one was so passionate about every part of ADPi- I definitely knew this was the chapter for me! Being someone who came into rounds not knowing much about Clemson’s Greek Life, the best advice to offer is to trust the process, even if you feel like it is not going the way you want. Rounds can be difficult and draining spending all hours of the day talking to all different groups of girls, trust me! Keeping an open mind is the best thing you can do because you never know the outcome! Anyone you ask about recruitment will tell you the exact same thing I am telling you, because it's SO TRUE! Go with the flow and listen to what your heart is telling you, because it’ll make your experience that much more special! I wish you all the best of luck during the recruitment process, and don’t ever be afraid to reach out to me if you need anything, have any questions, or just need reassurance to trust the process!”

✰Lee Mccutchen’s Spotlight + Why ADPi!✰

“The moment I realized that this would be the group of girls to push me to become a better version of myself, I knew that ADPi was the place I wanted to be.”

Lee Mccutchen, AC ‘19

Lee Mccutchen - Alpha Class ‘19

“Hey y’all! I’m a rising junior in Alpha Class ‘19 from Columbia, SC. My major is Biological Sciences with hopes of going to PA school one day! Lots of my family has gone to Clemson, so I dreamed of coming here growing up. Clemson was actually the only school I applied to because I knew I’d be happiest here, and I was right! I have been lucky to have family at school with me, like my older brother and lots of cousins, including my cousin, turned ADPi sister, Marywhit! ADPi has given me the best community to surround myself with and I am so thankful for that!

Everyone that I talked to in rounds with ADPi showed me that this sorority was full of girls that are driven, loyal, involved, and love to have fun! I had the best time meeting people in Panhellenic throughout recruitment, but even when the days could get long and tiring, I could always count on talking to someone I could laugh with and feel relaxed around in ADPi. The moment I realized that this would be the group of girls to push me to become a better version of myself, I knew that ADPi was the place I wanted to be. I encourage all PNMs to consider that during recruitment and to search for the girls that will encourage you to be your best self. From getting ready for functions, hanging out on the hall, studying, or going on spring break trips together, the friendships and memories I have made through ADPi are more than I could have ever asked for!”

✰Payton Wilson’s Spotlight + Why ADPi! ✰

“I can truly say without a doubt the best part of this year was meeting my best friends through this amazing chapter.”

Payton Wilson, AC ‘20

Payton Wilson - Alpha Class ‘20

“Hey PNMs! My name is Payton Wilson and I am a Sophomore Nursing Major from Fort Mill, South Carolina. I wanted to start by saying how thrilled I am that you decided to go through the Recruitment process. I know I speak for the whole chapter when I say we are so excited to get the chance to talk to each one of you. I grew up a Clemson fan but truly did not realize how special this place was until I got here this year. I had a year full of Clemson football games, walks on the Dikes, hours of hanging out on Bowman, and of course many trips to The Esso Club. While I love all the experiences that Clemson has to offer, I can truly say without a doubt the best part of this year was meeting my best friends through this amazing chapter.

The recruitment process can be intimidating at first, but it also pushed me out of my comfort zone in some amazing ways. I went into recruitment with little to no knowledge about Clemson’s Greek Life but decided I was going to give it a try. The best piece of advice I can give you is to relax and be yourself. Trust me when I say if you do this, you will know what feels like home. I know it sounds so cliché, but with each conversation, my love for ADPi grew stronger. Every conversation felt intentional, easy, and genuine. During every round, I looked forward to being able to go back to ADPi, because I felt so comfortable and welcomed by each girl I got the opportunity to speak to. The most special thing was getting to talk to my hometown friend, Hunter Dest, for the last round of recruitment. Hunter is someone I look up to, and she embodies what ADPi stands for in so many ways. I can tell you that there was no better feeling than getting my bid from ADPi.

While every chapter at Clemson has something special to offer, I can promise you that ADPi will bless you with friendships that will last a lifetime and memories you will cherish far beyond your years at Clemson. The genuine conversations I had during recruitment grew into some of the best friendships. There are too many reasons for why I am thankful I chose ADPi, but all I can tell you is that this chapter and these girls have blessed me beyond measure. While I hope you choose ADPi, I hope you find this feeling regardless of where you end up. I am eager to meet all of you and wish you the best of luck in your recruitment process!”

Spring Semester Recap

Spring Semester was all we could ask for and more! This semester has been SO eventful and memorable for our sisters. We are already looking forward to seeing each other again in the Fall, but for now…

HELLO SUMMER!

Click play for all the summer feelings!

Valentines Cocktail

Zeta Nu celebrated all the LOVE within our chapter at our first function back from winter break. Our Valentines Cocktail was held at 356 Sushi Bar located downtown Clemson. Our chapter made sure we were following the guidelines at the time therefore we could not celebrate all together at the same time, but our galentines were still able to celebrate with their individual Alpha Classes!

Zeta Nu Formal 2021

This year, Zeta Nu danced the night away underneath the magnolias! Alpha Classes ‘19 and ‘20 celebrated the best night of the year at Sleepy Hollow and Alpha Classes ‘17 and ‘18 celebrated at Occasions at Wedgefield. Both of these venues were absolutely beautiful and perfect for the occasion. Our sisters looked absolutely stunning and had such a great time!

Spring Break

Pack your bags! Our sisters were able to relax and catch a glimpse of summer this spring break! Zeta Nu traveled far and wide, from Florida to Hawaii, our sisters were able to enjoy a little pause from schoolwork and enjoy the sun! What’s sweeter than spring break with your sisters?!

Spring Game

Football in the spring? ADPi is here for it! Our sisters loved celebrating the kickoff to a new year for the Clemson Tigers. Zeta Nu was able to dress up in their orange and purple attire, tailgate, and watch the tigers play, what more could we ask for? We loved cheering on Clemson Football in April and we can't wait to be in Death Valley this fall!

JLF

This April we started off the month with the annual JLF Memorial Golf Tournament at the Walker Golf Course in Clemson, South Carolina. This such a special day for the Farrell family and Zeta Nu. Our amazing Director of Philanthropy, Sydney Dagostino, successfully hosted this event and made it such an amazing day for our chapter, the participants, and the Farrell family.

ADPisland

ADPi is on island time! Zeta Nu took a trip to the islands on April 15th, 2021. This year, ADPisland was held at TD’s Bar downtown Clemson. Our sisters looked amazing in their spring/summer attire and had the best time listening to the Connor Sweeney Band as they celebrated the last function of the semester!

Graduation

Zeta Nu was able to celebrate so many beautiful graduates this spring. We loved having these wonderful ladies within our chapter and could not be more proud of them. During their time at Clemson they successfully represented Zeta Nu and so many other clubs and organizations throughout campus. We love our seniors and we cannot wait to see the places they go!

Zeta Nu wishes you all the best summer and we look forward to seeing everyone again in the fall! We miss you, Clemson, but see you so soon! Happy Summer!

“Shortly after graduation, I will be moving to Fort Worth, TX to work for Schaefer Advertising on their healthcare team. I am so excited to join an incredible agency and have Clemson to thank for the people and experiences that prepared me for this role. Leaving Clemson and moving across the country is the definition of bittersweet — I will miss my people here dearly but am so excited for this next adventure! Cheers to the best four years and everything that’s to come!”

“After graduation, life will pick up full speed in the coming months! I will be getting married to my high-school sweetheart in July, and we will be moving to Atlanta, GA come August. I am currently pursuing a career in Graphic Design and Marketing, and Atlanta provides me with great opportunities as I am applying for jobs. My fiance will be going on staff with Reformed University Fellowship at Georgia Tech, so we are looking forward to serving this ministry, finding community, exploring new places, and starting our lives together in Atlanta! As graduation is quickly approaching, I am excited for what lies ahead but am incredibly thankful for the friendships, experiences, and opportunities that I’ve been blessed with at Clemson University and in the Zeta Nu chapter of Alpha Delta Pi.”

My time here has gone by far too fast, but I wouldn't change a thing. I will be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, with a minor in Business Administration. I have accepted a position with ABB - Dodge in their CAPT training program. This Summer, I will begin the 9-month training program in Greenville, SC. Upon completion of my training I will be placed in a territory in the US as a Field Sales Engineer. Kala Campbell

IMG_2913_Facetune_08-04-2021-18-14-52.JPG

Hi! My name is Kala Campbell and I am majoring in Philosophy with an emphasis in Law, Liberty, and Justice with a minor in History! After I finish my undergraduate degree, I plan on attending law school!

I met my Little Diamond Sister, Brooke, during the second round of Recruitment, and I knew right away I wanted her as my Little Diamond Sister! I knew after my first conversation with Brooke that she would be a perfect fit to our Diamond Family! Bid Day was such a fun day when Brooke ran home to ADPi! Since then, she has been my go-to girl whether I need fashion advice or a late-night milkshake run to destress from school! I know that any time, any day I can call her and she'll be there!!

Brooke and I worked online Recruitment together this year which made it so much fun because we got to show girls how genuine ADPi is and how much fun Big and Little Diamond Sister duos can be! Just as I met Brooke during Recruitment, we met Riley during online rounds! I commented to Brooke how cute she was and that I loved her bright pink top! During the conversations, all three of us just clicked, and we knew that we wanted Riley to be a part of our Diamond Family!

I admire my Diamond Family the most for our friendship between us! I think it is very easy for people to get caught up in the chaos of college, but I love that no matter what, I can count on these two girls! On a less serious note, I also love the fashion sense of Brooke and Riley! They seriously have the cutest and trendiest styles, and I love how we inspire each other to try new styles and trends!

I am so thankful for all the time I have had with both my Little Diamond Sisters and I cannot wait for all the memories we have yet to make!!

The second member in this Diamond Family is Brooke Kopittke. Continue reading to hear how much her Diamond Family means to her!

Brooke Kopittke

IMG_7076.jpeg

Hey everyone my name is Brooke Kopittke and I am a sophomore Graphic Communications major from Charlotte, NC. My Diamond Family experience has been one of my favorite parts about joining ADPi because not only are these girls my Big Diamond Sister/Little Diamond Sister, but also they’re my best friends. I was so lucky to have met my Big Diamond Sister, Kala, through Recruitment my freshman year and I instantly fell in love with her and everything ADPi. We connected almost instantly and I knew I had found my lifelong sisters after such an easy conversation with her. I was so happy to run home to her on Bid Day and even more thrilled to then become Diamond Sisters. She made freshman year such an amazing experience and easy transition by showing me around, offering endless advice and encouragement, and being one of my first friends in college! Since then, our friendship has only grown stronger and I would not be half the woman I am today without her guidance and support.

My favorite part about this year’s Recruitment experience was being able to work with Kala during online Recruitment! It was such a unique experience that brought us even closer because we were able to showcase our amazing bond to new PNMs. Kala and I met my Little Diamond Sister, Riley, early on in the Recruitment process and absolutely fell IN LOVE!! Within minutes of talking to Riley, we felt like she was one of our own and I couldn’t wait to speak to her again. I cannot express how happy I was when I got to talk to Riley a second time during Preference Round and I knew, without a doubt, this amazing girl would soon be my Little Diamond Sister.

One piece of advice that I would give the other members of my Diamond Family is to have confidence in who they are and remember that they can do whatever they set their minds to! These girls are so incredibly smart and driven and have such amazing dreams that I cannot wait to see them accomplish. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by such strong minded individuals because it pushes me day in and day out to be the best version of myself!

These girls are my ROCKS! I tell them anything and everything and I know, without a doubt, when I need them they will be there. Whether it’s celebrating Galentine’s with my Little Diamond Sister, Riley, or shopping in my Big Diamond Sister, Kala’s closet, these girls are always around and make each day I spend in Clemson a little more bright. LOVE YOU GUYS! xx

The third member of this Diamond Family is Riley Lovelace. Continue reading to hear how her Diamond Family inspires her!

Riley Lovelace

IMG_7086.JPG

Hi everybody my name is Riley Lovelace, and I am from Greenville, South Carolina. I am a freshman majoring in Business Management on a pre-law track, and I hope to minor in Philosophy. I’ve always enjoyed fashion and traveling which I pair with way too many pictures to document it all.

I remember so clearly talking on Zoom during Recruitment with Kala and Brooke for the first time! I had been so nervous in my previous conversations, but I felt so instantly comfortable with them like I was talking to good friends I’d known for a while. I was so excited after our conversations that I immediately looked them up on Instagram (lol), and showed my mom while talking her ear off about how cool and similar to me they were. This was such a huge turning point for me in the Recruitment process! It became a lot less stressful because I started to just be more excited about it all. Getting to talk to them again in Preference Round really made my decision so clear about where I was supposed to be.

I was able to hangout with Brooke on Bid Day which made the day even more enjoyable! She introduced me to her friends and put in effort to get to know mine. It meant so much to me that someone was so invested in me and my life when they hadn’t known me for very long. Getting ready for game day with both her friends and mine was such a highlight of my first semester experience. There are so many memories I was able to make and people I met because of her, which I will always be forever grateful for. I met Kala in person not too long after, and I was instantly obsessed with her too. I admire her in a lot of ways, and I love hearing every detail of her travels and times working at the fashion mart in Atlanta! She is just simply one of the coolest people I’ve ever met. Also, she always reaches out to me and makes cute little fam plans for all of us. I can tell how much effort she has put into having a great relationship with Brooke as both a Little Diamond Sister and a best friend, and I am so thankful Brooke and Kala have continued this by treating me this way as well. They’ve quite literally spoiled me to say the least, from Kala bringing me back earrings from the fashion mart (accompanied with my favorite candy!!!), to Brooke getting us all matching necklaces (which I get compliments on everyday), to them both going above and beyond with gifts that welcomed me to ADPi (Brooke’s whole bedroom was filled wall to wall with fun shirts and the cutest paintings)!

I’m looking forward to making more memories with them because the recent ones are those in which I can see myself looking back on to reminisce about life when I’m older. Oddly, I am excited to tell my “good old days” stories, and I just know both of them will be in so many. I feel so blessed that I have had them with me every step of the way my freshman year. We’ve all talked about visiting Kala’s hometown to have a fun girls weekend in Athens, and I can’t think of anything better than that! It’s been so nice having them to run to for advice and just be an open ear I know I can trust. Brooke does a really good job at keeping me on top of things and laughing with me when I’m a little clumsy in life. Kala’s always checking in on me, and I appreciate how much she has tried to get to know me and really make our Dimond Family feel like a family. We all gel really well together, so it’s always fun whether it’s a wholesome dinner in Kala’s apartment, a cute picnic photoshoot (where we make fun of our not so cute photos in our group chat), or a nice dinner where we just catch up and talk about everything in our lives.

I’m a firm believer that people make the place, and Kala and Brooke have genuinely made Clemson feel like home with our Dimond Family! I am confident for the future knowing they’ll be in my life for a long, long time. I’ll forever be grateful to ADPi for giving me some of the best people life has to offer! I love you both wholeheartedly <3
