Tips for the PNM Video?

In the PNM videos, it is important that we get to know YOU!!! We want to know your name, where you are from, what you were involved in during your time before Clemson and what you are looking forward to getting involved in once on campus, as well as why you are interested in joining a Panhellenic sorority!! We can’t wait to see a little bit of who you are through these videos.

What is the Best Piece of Advice for Participating in Recruitment?

There are a million different pieces of advice, but the two best pieces of advice for recruitment, as cheesy as it sounds, is to trust your gut and trust the process. If you have a certain feeling about a particular sorority during the Recruitment process then trust that feeling! Every Panhellenic sorority is different and amazing in our own way, so it is important that you find where you fit in best! Sorority recruitment really does work, you just have to believe in the process. It can be exhausting and cause a lot of late nights, but if you believe that you will end up where you should be then it will work out in the end!

How can we Show our Personality on Zoom?

The way you can show your personality on Zoom is to be extremely confident in yourself so that way you can easily carry on a conversation in every Round! It is important to show your personality by talking about what YOU are passionate about and express your interests in what you want your future sisterhood to look like. Also it is important to have expressive body language and make sure you have a polished look! All of these things will allow you to feel confident in yourself and show who you are to the best of your ability!

Is it Different to go Through Recruitment as a Sophomore?

It is not at all different to participate in Recruitment as a sophomore! Going through as a sophomore is the exact same thing as going through as a freshman, except in rounds you can already meet girls your own age! There are many sophomores that participate in Recruitment at Clemson!

How Many PNMs and Chapter Members will be in Each Zoom Party?

A max of 49 PNMs will be in each Zoom party, while for chapter members it will vary by each chapter!

“Hey PNMs!!! My name is SaraAnna Goff and I am a Junior Early Childhood Education Major. I am from the small town of Hartsville, SC. I am so excited that you chose to go through the recruitment process this year! It is a great experience and you’ll love every second of it! Growing up, my dad’s family were die hard South Carolina fans and my mom’s family were die hard Clemson fans, so I grew up switching off football games on the weekends! Senior year of high school arrived, and I chose to apply to my most favorite school, CLEMSON, and I would not have it any other way. Clemson has stolen my heart and I still get chills when I drive over the tiger paws on the road! My experience here has been nothing but great, and I cannot wait for you to start creating yours!

I was very intimidated going through the recruitment process. I am the oldest in my family, so I did not have an older sister or cousin to guide me through the process, and my mom did not join a sorority in college. After the first two days of rounds, I instantly knew where I wanted to call home. ADPi was the one chapter that made me feel most comfortable. I was able to be myself. I had great conversations with the girls, and each conversation felt so natural. I chose ADPi because every girl that I talked to was genuine and sweet. During rounds, girls went above and beyond to ensure that I felt wanted and special. I was able to let go of all of my stress and simply talk to girls during each round. Members that I knew walked by me and gave me a smile, which made me feel welcomed. Growing up, I have always looked up to the older girls in my town that I danced with who chose ADPi as their sisterhood at Clemson and I have always dreamed that someday I would be just like them. When I opened my Bid Day invitation, I immediately cried. Ever since that day, I have made memories of a lifetime.

ADPi has given me the best memories! I have enjoyed dancing the night away with my sisters at functions and mixers, cheering the Tigers on from the sidelines, and traveling with them during spring break. ADPi has pushed me to become a better person and a better leader. Zeta Nu has allowed me to raise the bar high academically, socially, and physically. This chapter has given me great insight on what it takes to be a successful woman, along with great role models to look up to.

The Alpha Delta Pi sisterhood embodies an amazing group of women that I am so proud to be a part of!

With that being said, my “Why ADPi'' answer is, when we say “We Live for Each Other,” we really mean it as we strive to make each other the best version of ourselves each and every day! I hope each and every one of you enjoy recruitment just as much as I did. I hope you even meet some besties along the way, like I did! Class of 2024, we are so excited to meet you! “Hi PNMs!! My name is Nan Spacek and I am a senior nursing major from Columbia, SC. Like so many of you, when I started college, I was met with a fresh slate and was so excited about it! It was all about figuring out who I was and making decisions about who I wanted to become. I was originally very apprehensive about the entire recruitment process. I have an older sister who was already at Clemson, had gone ADPi, and loved it! My sister is my absolute best friend but we are very different people so naturally, I was concerned that ADPi wouldn't be the best fit for me. Honestly, I think my biggest fear starting recruitment was that I wouldn't end up being a good fit anywhere. However, as I went through rounds I discovered that I loved a lot of different chapters. I could see so many different versions of myself as I tried to imagine what my next 4 years at Clemson would be like. What I realized sitting in my preference round for ADPi was that I didn't have to be any other version of myself here. I felt like I fit, just as I was! I looked around and saw a room full of amazing women, including my older sister, who were all incredibly different from each other. I could see that despite their differences they really loved and encouraged one another. It wasn't that there was no room for me to grow or be challenged, quite the opposite actually, but it was here that I felt I would be able to stay grounded in who I was while also being encouraged to become something better. I followed that feeling straight to bid day and after 3.5 years in ADPi, I can confidently say I was not disappointed in my decision.

I have been challenged in love by so many of my sisters to become the best person I can be. I have made the best friendships and have had more fun than I could have ever imagined.

Between dining hall dates, late-night Wendy's, ALL the functions, weekend trips, and game days, I know I have memories that I will keep for a lifetime. As my time at Clemson is coming to an end I can reflect on my time here, I realize just how big of a blessing ADPi has been to me. So, why ADPi? I know that my four years at Clemson University will always hold a special place in my heart, but I know that they were forever changed by having such an amazing group of girls cheering me on every step of the way. That is truly my wish for every single one of you, that you find a group of girls to be your biggest cheerleaders and always encourage you to stay true to yourself. Brooke’s Spotlight + Why ADPi ⟡

“Hi PNMs! I am so happy you’ve decided to go through recruitment this year and cannot wait to meet y’all! My name is Brooke Kopittke and I am from Waxhaw, North Carolina. I will be a sophomore this fall studying Psychology while doing a Pre-Dental track. I chose to go through recruitment because I wanted to meet a good group of genuine girls. Being from a smaller town, I only knew a few people who were also attending Clemson and it turned out to be the best decision of my life!

In my typical fashion, the morning of round one I woke up by falling out of my lofted bed. What I had hoped to be a perfect morning turned out to be the most chaotic one as I was rushing to get ready while also trying to bandage my shin. When I finally got to rounds, the cut turned out to be deeper than I originally thought and I walked into the ADPi party with blood seeping through my rainbow band-aid. Naturally, I was terrified of making a bad impression. What could have been a terrible morning ended up illuminating where I knew I belonged. Tatum Sass escorted me into the round and we began to talk. Immediately, we bonded over our mutual clumsiness. She too had a less than perfect start to her day. Rather than a dry, cookie-cutter conversation we spoke candidly. She made me feel at home, eased my worries, and I had a great time. What could have been a horribly awkward encounter ended up being the catalyst to a real conversation that highlighted the kindness, honesty, and humor we’ve all grown to know and love in ADPi. Although this experience introduced me to ADPi, there was no question in my mind at the end of recruitment of where I wanted to be.

Every interaction along the way was just as enlightening as the first. Each sister was unique with differing experiences. I shared the same charming, outgoing rapport with all of them.

ADPi has given me my best friends. No matter what we are doing, whether it’s studying for a dreaded Chemistry test with Abby Beitel, coaching a goofy Pi Spike team with Hunter Dest, or getting all dolled-up for functions like Semi and Mallard with Brielle Trygg, these girls have been by my side and bring out the best version of myself. My favorite memories from freshman year of college were made with my sisters and I am so excited to be living on the ADPi hall this year making new ones. I’ve gotten so much more out of recruitment than I could’ve ever imagined. My sisters have lifted me up on my darkest of days and have been by my side on the brightest. It is completely normal to feel overwhelmed and nervous going into this crazy year, but we are all in the same boat and will embrace it together. My best advice I could give to you during this new and exciting time of your life is to roll with the punches because it may lead to the best conversations. At the end of the day, trust your gut... and get a railing on your lofted bed!” - Brooke Kopittke, AC ‘19

Evie’s Spotlight + Why ADPi ⟡

Evie Frazier - Alpha Class ‘18

“Hi PNMs! My name is Evie Frazier and I am a junior Biology/Bioengineering major from Greenville, SC! We are all beyond excited to meet all of you in August! I grew up an avid tiger fan and always knew that I wanted to call Clemson home. I was nervous going into recruitment, as most girls are, and felt intimidated by all of these older, beautiful women. But walking into ADPi each round was completely different. I was always greeted with excitement and a smile, and every girl I talked to was so genuine. I felt like I could be 100% myself and had such meaningful conversations with every girl I talked to! I met my big diamond sister, Bridgett, in Sisterhood round and that's when I knew I wanted to go ADPi. We clicked immediately and I have looked up to her ever since. This chapter has surrounded me with an immense amount of support and sisterhood, and has helped me better myself in my faith, studies, as well as my confidence.

ADPi has also given me some of my very best friends. Bella and I lived on the same floor freshman year and quickly became close friends when we both realized we wanted to go ADPi. Little did I know that the girl who is, quite literally, my complete opposite would turn into my best friend. I think our friendship speaks for our chapter as a whole.

Each girl is so different in their own special way but we all have such a strong bond and love for each other.

Living on the ADPi Hall this year has been one of my favorite memories. Our hall was filled with Katie's contagious laugh, Kala's fashion advice (and earring collection), Hannah Laura hyping everyone up, and lots of late night talks and studying in the bottom of Barnett. These are times that I will hold near to my heart forever!

We know that your recruitment process may look different than what you have expected, but it will still be a life-changing experience. We cannot wait to show y'all what our sisterhood is all about and how amazing each and every girl is in this chapter! Be true to yourself and you will be loved for who you are. You will meet so many amazing women through this process, so I encourage you to be as positive as you can about it! I hope y'all love the Zeta Nu chapter of Alpha Delta Pi as much as I do!! Bryan’s Spotlight + Why ADPi ⟡

“Hey PNMs! I am so excited to meet each one of you!! I am a sophomore marketing major with a whole lot of love for Clemson football and my ADPi girls! Although I grew up coming to all of the Clemson home football games, I did not know a single person coming into recruitment or freshman year! I’d be lying if I told you recruitment wasn’t very intimidating for me, but I can tell you now that it was so worth it. I have found a group of girls that pushes me to grow in my academics, in my faith, and in everyday life.

My recruitment experience looked a little bit different from most people’s. I had an extremely bad case of mono which led to my mom staying in Clemson and driving me to our condo between parties to take naps. I was exhausted to say the least, but every single round I would look forward to talking to the ADPi girls. I clicked immediately with each of the girls I talked to and I always felt so welcomed and loved for just being myself.

From day one, I knew that the Zeta Nu chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was going to be the group that would help mold me into the best possible version of myself.

In round one I met one of my best friends and the most amazing big in the world. Elizabeth has taught me that life is a gift and that I need to live it to the fullest. She is one of the greatest things that ADPi has given me. One of the other gifts that ADPi gave me was my girl squad. These girls have truly seen me at my best having a blast at a function and at my worst literally crying after failing an exam.

Being someone that came in knowing absolutely nothing about Clemson’s greek life, the best advice I can give you is to follow your heart. I know it sounds silly and everyone has told you to trust the process and be yourself, but it is true. It will all work out for the best and you will find your people! Although I hope it is ADPi because of the amazing experience I have had, trust yourself and go with what feels like home!
